Ali Zafar urges fans to go ‘Sugar Free’
Ali Zafar urged his fans to join hands with him and start a Diabetes wellness campaign.
Taking to his Instagram stories, he posted his own tweet, urging the viewers to go ‘Sugar Free’ this week.
Zafar, being the ‘humanitarian’ he is, took to his Twitter, urging his fans to quit consuming sugar as an alarming surge of diabetes in patients was seen.
The tweet said, “Let's do it! Let's start a wellness campaign together, raising awareness one step at a time. Let's promise ourselves. This week will be sugar-free! #SugarFreeWeek.”
This came after the International Diabetes Federation shared a list in which Pakistan had topped, having 30.8% of the total population suffering from diabetes.
In an attempt to educate and raise awareness amongst the public, he said, “Stop consuming sugar, sugary drinks, refined carbs, and junk fried in seed oils. Don’t fall for flashy ads selling packets and promises…always read the ingredients. Return to real food and a natural lifestyle: ghee, lentils, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and clean sources of protein.”
He further said, “Never underestimate the power of rest and good sleep. Move daily, breathe deeply, and most importantly, master the art of de-stressing and living in a state of calm, joy, and balance, in whatever way aligns with your belief and understanding.
Life is short, leave anything that gives you stress or makes you sick - including people. Enjoy it while it lasts !”
His fans showered him with love for raising awareness over such an important issue.
Ali Zafar often makes headlines for the humanitarian purposes he serves.
Last month, on September 27, he dedicated his concert in Lahore to raise funds for the survivors of the recent floods.
All ticket sales and donations from the concert were directed through the Ali Zafar Foundation, which has been actively involved in relief work.
The funds, reportedly, went toward rehabilitation efforts for flood-affected families who are still struggling to rebuild their lives.

Whenever someone ask for tea with sugar, one should say “Gimme some tea with some poison”.
