Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that small cities of the province were also being developed and that she would not consider Punjab developed until and unless all its areas were developed equally, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Addressing the electric buses launching ceremony in Pakpattan, Maryam said today, people belonging to the areas outside Punjab wished they had the same cleanliness and facilities in their provinces as well.

“In Punjab, money is spent on projects of public welfare and I have brought electric buses to the doorsteps of the people of Pakpattan,” Maryam said excitedly.

The Punjab CM further said that the fare of an electric bus was only Rs20. “Not even a motorcycle rickshaw charges as little as an electric bus.”

“Punjab has been ruled by the PML-N, so there are more facilities here,” she boasted.

She vowed to bring more electric buses onto the Punjab cities’ roads next year.

Maryam informed that 1100 electric buses will be brought to the province by December this year and 400 next year.

She went on to say that the government would lay new sewerage lines in the entire Punjab, including Gujrat, and would build underground water reservoirs across the province.

The government, she added, would also build 25 kilometers of paved roads in every village.

Punjab government has built houses in 25 cities of the province, Maryam said.

She said that if floods were unprecedented, the service by the Punjab government was also historic.

Maryam said when the Punjab's opponents get nothing to criticize then they start criticizing Pakistan Muslim League.
