September 8, 2020 03:29 PM

A teenage girl was poisoned to death as a youngster first raped and later claimed her life in Gujrat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

But she isn’t the lone victim as her elder sister too reportedly committed suicide some days back after consuming some poisonous substance. It is now feared that the same person is involved in her death too.

The incident was reported in Majra village where the 24-year-old neighbour, Hamza Munawar, sexually assaulted Ayesha Shabbir, 18, when she left her home for buying some groceries.

However, Munawar decided to kill her and administered poison to her, fearing that his action would soon become public.

The victim was later found from nearby fields in a serious condition where the accused had dumped her after committing the crime. She was rushed to a hospital but could not survive.

A post-mortem conducted at the hospital confirmed that Ayesha had been raped and killed by using poison.

Meanwhile, Safia, her mother, got a case registered against the accused with the Daulat Nagar Police Station.

According to the police, they are now also investigating the death of Ayesha’s elder sister because of the suspicious manner in which she reportedly died.
