NCCIA arrests two accused for running ‘Mini NADRA’ website
Two accused who were running the ‘Mini NADRA’ website have been arrested on the special instructions of Director National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Punjab Dr Hussam Bin Iqbal, Reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In the NCCIA Lahore operation, three terabytes of sensitive data recovered from accused Muhammad Arsalan and Ali Raza.
Illegal acquisition and sale of sensitive and personal data of more than 10 million citizens revealed.
SIM card ownership and registration, CDRs, SIM database and location data of citizens recovered from the possession of the accused.
The recovered sensitive data also includes information related to the family tree of citizens and various government institutions.
It was disclosed that the accused were providing information related to NADRA by establishing a website called “Mini NADRA”.
The accused were also involved in illegal purchase and sale of sensitive data and access to a platform called “Khoji”.
