The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspects, wanted in cases of serious crime, from Abu Dhabi with the help of International Police (Interpol), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The accused identified as Qamar Abbas, Mehtab Khan and Dost Ali were brought to Lahore Airport after being arrested from Abu Dhabi.

Qamar Abbas was wanted by Gujarat police while Mehtab Khan and Dost Ali were wanted by Bahawalnagar and Dera Ghazi Khan police, respectively.

Cases were registered against the accused under the provisions of murder and robbery. Red notices had been issued for their arrest.

Later, the FIA Immigration Wing handed over the accused to the police authorities concerned.

The extradition of the accused was possible due to the close coordination of Interpol Islamabad with Interpol Abu Dhabi.

“The National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol has been rendering valuable services for the arrest of the accused who have fled abroad. It has been striving for the arrest and timely extradition of the most wanted accused,” the FIA spokesperson said.
