Rainy weather likely to persist during next 24 hours

Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail over most plain areas of the country tonight, while rain with wind and thundershowers is likely at a few places in north-eastern Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas. 

According to the Meteorological Department, hot and humid weather is expected in Islamabad and adjoining areas with chances of rain at a few places. 

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, hot and humid in most districts; however, rain with thunder and wind is expected at a few places in Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Malakand, and Kohat. 

In Punjab, mostly hot and humid in most parts of the province. In the evening/night, rain with wind and thundershowers is likely at a few places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Khushab, Gujrat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal. 

In Sind, hot and humid weather is likely in most districts. However, Karachi and coastal areas may experience partly cloudy skies with chances of rain at a few places. While the forecast in Balochistan would be hot and humid conditions are expected in most districts. In Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan: Partly cloudy skies with chances of rain and thundershowers at a few places.
