Cardi B falls while performing lap dance on ROBOT ahead Super Bowl party

Cardi B’s plan to turn heads with her bold dance moves backfired in spectacular fashion on Saturday when she suffered a very public and very funny fall while heading to a Super Bowl party in San Francisco.

The 33-year-old rapper was making her entrance to the Fanatics Super Bowl Party at Pier 48 when she was unexpectedly greeted by a humanoid robot.

Dressed in a skintight yellow-and-black catsuit, Cardi leaned fully into the moment and attempted to give the robot a lap dance as cameras rolled and onlookers watched.

The stunt quickly went wrong. As Cardi danced, the robot tipped forward, throwing off her balance and sending her crashing onto the pavement. The slip instantly drew attention, with nearby staff rushing in to help her up.

Once back on her feet, Cardi apologized to the team and staff members, who also stepped in to reposition the toppled robot.

She was one of many celebrities attending the pre-game festivities, with other notable guests including Orlando Bloom and Teyana Taylor.

Super Bowl LX is set to take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, where the Seattle Seahawks will face off against the New England Patriots in a highly anticipated rematch of Super Bowl XLIX from February 2015. That earlier game ended in a dramatic 28-24 Patriots victory after Russell Wilson threw a last-minute interception in the end zone with just 20 seconds remaining.

Beyond the matchup itself, much of the buzz surrounding this year’s event has focused on the halftime show, which will be headlined by Bad Bunny.

The 31-year-old global superstar, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is coming off a major awards season win after taking home three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

The announcement of Bad Bunny as the halftime performer sparked immediate controversy when it was revealed in late September. Several high-ranking government officials criticized the choice, citing the artist’s past comments on U.S. immigration policies. He has previously pointed to ICE agents as the reason he excluded mainland U.S. tour dates in the past.

The game also holds personal significance for Cardi B. Her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, is one of the team’s biggest stars, fueling speculation about whether the rapper could make a surprise appearance during the halftime performance given her past collaborations with Bad Bunny.

Cardi welcomed her first child with Diggs, a son, in November 2025, months after the couple publicly confirmed their relationship in June of that year.

She previously filed for divorce from her former husband Offset in July 2024 and shares three children with him: Kulture, seven, Wave, four, and one-year-old Blossom.

The rapper recently made headlines after defending Diggs in a since-deleted post following reports that he had been charged with strangling a woman.

In November 2025, Cardi gave birth to her fourth child, another baby boy and her first with Diggs. Earlier in 2024, while unknowingly pregnant with Blossom, she underwent medical procedures to remove butt injections and treat fibrosis.

She has been open about her history with cosmetic surgery, previously revealing that she sought to reverse illegal butt injections she received in a Queens basement years earlier. Speaking to fans during an Instagram Live stream in October 2024, she said, "In January, right after I shot [the music video for] Like What, I went and got surgery."

She explained that she had taken multiple pregnancy and blood tests before the procedure, all of which came back negative, before learning from her OBGYN that she was actually 17 weeks pregnant. She told fans, "I got some more butt injections removed. Because, you know, it takes rounds to get your butt injections removed. And I also went to fix, like, you know, certain things [with] my fibrosis..."

By September of last year, Cardi revealed she had removed about 95 percent of her silicone injections. During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she said she had already undergone reduction procedures while responding to constant public commentary about her body.

She also urged young fans to avoid Brazilian Butt Lift surgeries, admitting that even now she sometimes wishes her backside were smaller, though she would not go through another reduction.

"I look at myself in the mirror, and it's like, I really wouldn't change a thing," she told host Alex Cooper.

She added, "Maybe I would like my butt to be smaller, but it's, like I said, it's really hard for my butt to be smaller [and] I already did."

Cardi also addressed ongoing criticism, saying, "I already did a reduction already and people will be like, "Well, you need to reduce your butt more.""

She concluded by pointing out how people often underestimate the difficulty of the procedure and the physical toll of recovery.
