Ex-cricketer and selector M Ilyas seeks PCB help for cancer treatment

Former Test cricketer and selector Mohammad Ilyas on Friday sought the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) help and assistance for the treatment of his cancer disease, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, Mohammad Ilyas was diagnosed with cancer and is under treatment in a private hospital in Lahore.

Mohammad Ilyas also asked his friends and well-wishers to remember him in their prayers for his early recovery.

PCB introduced new monthly pension schemes for players who have appeared in at least 10 tests for the country, but that policy may have been revised in the latest contracts.

The board continues to support its players going through tough financial times.

In 2011, Muhammad Ilyas has been handed over the responsibilities of chief selector by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
