Pickpockets rob dozens during PTI rally in Karachi

Dozens of citizens, including journalists, were robbed during a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Karachi Friday, police and eyewitnesses reported.

The incidents occurred as large crowds gathered near CMKP Sohail Afridi’s car. Pickpockets reportedly took advantage of the congestion to snatch valuables, including mobile phones, cash, and wallets, from attendees.

Many victims visited the Airport Police Station to file complaints and report the losses.

Eyewitnesses said that while people were focused on the rally, thieves moved through the crowd, targeting their pockets and bags.

Police have assured increased vigilance during such gatherings to prevent similar incidents in the future.
