Six FC personnel martyred in KP's Hassan Khel, funeral prayers offered in Peshawar

Six Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred while bravely fighting against Khawarij in the Hassan Khel area, officials said on Tuesday.

The funeral prayers of the martyred personnel were offered at the FC headquarters in Peshawar. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry attended the funeral prayers.

Mohsin Naqvi and Talal Chaudhry paid tribute to the sacrifice of the martyrs -- Naik Aamir, Lance Naik Muhammad Yousuf, Lance Naik Muhammad Riaz, Sepoys Ajmer, Ehsan and Riaz, and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.

Naqvi expressed condolences to the bereaved families and consoled them. He appreciated the high morale of the families and said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain. He added that the sacrifices of the brave sons of the nation will always be remembered and that the government will not leave the families of the martyrs alone. He stated that the entire nation shares the grief of the grieving families of the martyrs.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry said the entire nation is united against terrorism and that operations against peace-threatening elements will be made more effective.

The funeral prayers were attended by Frontier Corps North IG, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police IG, Federal Constabulary IG, Commandant of the National Police Academy, FIA DG, NCCIA DG, Peshawar Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner and other officers.

According to officials, the Federal Constabulary IG briefed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi about the details of the incident.
