Babar Azam performs Umrah, breaks fast at Masjid al-Haram

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan, taking a spiritual break ahead of the upcoming series.

Babar is accompanied by his brother, Safeer Azam, as they visit Makkah for the pilgrimage. A video shared on social media captures the star batter breaking fast at Masjid al-Haram, reflecting on the sacred journey.

In a clip posted on Instagram, Babar can be seen in the open area near the Kaaba, immersed in prayer. The video, captioned "Alhamdulillah," showcases a moment of deep spirituality for the cricketer.

The right-handed batter is expected to return to Pakistan on March 15, after which he will shift focus to preparations for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Naseem Shah are also in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah during Ramadan. The national squad will soon regroup for training, with Babar set to play a crucial role in the middle order against New Zealand.
