Rangers arrest most wanted gang war commander from Lyari

A most wanted commander of the Lyari gang war, Hammad alias Hammo, was arrested in a joint operation conducted by Pakistan Rangers and Karachi Police in Lyari, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Pakistan Rangers sources said that the notorious accused belonged to the Zahid Ladla and Shakeel Bakshah groups. Police also recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from his possession.

The arrested accused was a resident of Shah Bag Lane in Lyari who decided to join the Lyari gang war Zahid Ladla group after his brainstorming with notorious gangster Uzair Baloch in 2024.

Lyari gang war commander Shakeel Badshah Khan delivered a message to the owner of a private oil depot to pay Rs5,00,000 as extortion money. The accused warned dire consequences in case of non-payment of extortion money.

When the owner of the private oil depot failed to pay them money, the accused, along with Uzair Baloch and Munawwar alias Munnoo, started firing on him while he was riding on a motorcycle.

A first information report against the accused was already registered in Kikri Police Station. It is necessary to mention here that Shakeel Badshah and Zahid Ladla developed keen coordination.

Sources said that raids are being conducted on different locations to apprehend the colleagues of the accused.
