Three TTP terrorists with Rs6m head money arrested in Bannu

ASI martyred in Lakki Marwat terror attack on police mobile

The Bannu Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists involved in the suicide blast on CTD police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In a major counter-terrorism action, Bannu region CTD apprehended three defunct TTP wanted terrorists namely Dr Zafar Iqbal, Noorani alias Madni and Shakoor alias Hameedi.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has put Rs6 million head money on these terrorists. They were wanted by the CTD and police in several cases.

These terrorists belong to TTP’s local commander Afsar Ali alias Pashtun and Commander Ilyas alias Qari Bilal groups.

They wanted to carry out terrorist activities in Bannu and Mingora before Eid. They intended to do target killings and extortion. 

Police arrested them from the adjoining areas of Bannu, Garira and Khwaja Mad Mundan. 

In another development, terrorists attacked a police mobile van in Lakki Marwat martyring an ASI, Muhammad Shah, and injuring a constable on Sunday. 

However, two terrorists were killed in the retaliatory attack. 

Police recovered automatic weapons from the possession of the deceased terrorists.
