Govt seeks ministries' employees' data to assess physical eligibility

The government has requested detailed data on employees in federal ministries, divisions, and subordinate offices under a new policy addressing physical ineligibility for duty. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Establishment Division issued directives asking all relevant departments to provide comprehensive records of their staff.

In a parallel move, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has requested similar information from all its field formations to review the additional qualifications required for employees to carry out official duties.

FBR has issued instructions to all Directors General, Chief Commissioners, and Directors to comply with the data submission requirements.

The data requested under the medical grounds policy also includes information about employees serving on a contract basis. 

All departments have been instructed to submit the required details in a specific format, which includes the employee’s name, designation, date of appointment, and current status.

Under the medical invalidation policy, the government will review the nature and severity of employees’ illnesses, among other factors. 

The policy aims to assess which employees are physically capable of performing their duties and to ensure that staff meet the required standards for official work.
