Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) government in Sindh Saturday announced to hold local bodies elections within next six months.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Sindh Chief Minister’s Advisor to Law and Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab confirmed that his government was agreed to hold elections.
Talking to the media after inaugurating a park in Orangi Town, Karachi Murtaza said the PPP government had agreed to the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold local bodies polls.
He said despite reservations on the issue of the census, his government would hold local bodies elections in the month of February or March next year.
Murtaza opposed the federal government for extending NAB chairman through presidential ordinance and said it was much better for the federal government to have issued an ordinance against inflation.
