Pakistan patience running out, Kabul must rein in cross-border terrorism: Defence Minister

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that it was high time to express solidarity with security forces who are laying their lives for the security and safety of the country, adding that politics will continue and lawmaker can discuss it one day or the other, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

Addressing National Assembly session, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said he personally visited Kabul and told Afghan counterpart to stop cross border terrorism. He said Afghan government asked Pakistan to provide them Rs10 billion Afghanistan government will settle them in south provinces. 

He said Pakistan made talks with Afghan government several times but there was no outcome on it. He said now a day menace of terrorism was increasing as today and tomorrow our brave children were martyred. Defence Minister urged entire house to stand united with security forces. 

Khawaja Asif told the House that there was proposal that another delegation will be sent to Afghanistan within tow or three days which will made it clear to Afghanistan that such acts have become unbearable. 

He said millions of Afghan citizens were living in Pakistan for decades. Khawaja Asif made it clear that those who shelter terrorists will also be dealt with strictly. 

Talking about India, Khawaja Asif claimed that the way Pakistan defeated India, it was still licking their wounds. He suggested that, “We should express solidarity with our martyrs and ghazis on this one issue.”

Kh Asif said around, “sixty-seven million Afghan people are sitting in Pakistan, some were in the transport business, some were contractors but they were making holes in the plate they are eating from.” He said Pakistan patience has run out. He lamented some element were reluctant to condemn terrorism. 

Kh Asif said, “We cannot afford any politics on this. The world is admiring our armed forces. Those who have power will have to openly stand with the armed forces and citizens”.
