Lady Gaga thanks fiancé Michael Polansky, calls herself ‘luckiest girl alive’

Lady Gaga wrote a sweet, heartfelt note showing love and appreciation for her fiancé Michael Polansky and her fans went head over heels for her.

Lady Gaga is celebrating a major career milestone and a personal one at the same time.

Gaga was crowned Artist of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, marking her second win in the category after first taking home the honor in 2020.

Shortly after the show, Gaga rushed back to Madison Square Garden to continue her Mayhem Ball Tour but still made time to reflect on the achievement.

Taking to her Instagram, the Joker starlet shared a series of photos showcasing her Moon Person trophy, striking poses in a dramatic Marc Jacobs gown with voluminous sleeves, intricate lace detailing, and a mermaid silhouette. She finished the look with a bold red floral headpiece.

She became the most-nominated artist with 12 nods, and took home four awards in total.

Celebrating her big wins, Gaga also turned the spotlight on her fiancé Michael Polansky, calling him her personal “artist of the year.”

She posted cozy photos with him and said in the caption, “Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you, talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” Gaga wrote in a heartfelt note on Instagram.

Praising Polansky for his unwavering support, she added, “I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy. It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together — you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world.”

The singer described her partner as her rock both on and off stage, saying, “I’m forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me. You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk every day living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears, to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive. I love you endlessly.”

Calling Polansky her “creative partner” in art, business, and love, Gaga described their relationship as “a love I’ve never known.”

She added, “You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life. Thank you for making all our MAYHEM dreams come true.”

The couple, first linked on New Year’s Eve in 2019 before confirming their romance in February 2020, became engaged during the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Gaga shared that one of the intimate photos from her Instagram post is currently displayed by their bedside, making her VMAs victory feel even more personal.
