Syed Javed Ali Shah Jillani – a PPP MNA from Khairpur – has revealed that he is in self-quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus, repored 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Shah opted for the test after one of the doctors, who were invited by the MNA for dinner, were diagnosed with the virus. As a result, the PPP lawmaker too went for a test, the report of which showed that the MNA too had been infected.

The MNA is the second PPP lawmaker to be tested positive for the coronavirus. The first one was Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani who has now recovered from the infection.

Ghani was tested positive last week after which he self-isolated himself. But he informed on Monday that the latest report was negative.
