Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill has accused PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of receiving “kickbacks” from an Indian company.

Addressing a news conference along with other PTI leaders in Lahore, Gill claimed that ex-PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi received Rs140 million through TTs (telegraphic transfers) from an Indian company as consultancy fees.

“Khaqan Abbasi received Rs140 million from Indian company through TTs when was serving as federal petroleum minister in 2017” he claimed, adding that he had receipts of all transactions made to Abbasi during the said period.

Shahbaz Gill further demanded the PML-N leader declare public his bank account details. “I am ready to public my bank account,” he added.

“Shahid Khaqan has been giving an impression that he is an honest man,” Gill said and added that the PML-N leader has served as petroleum minister on more than one occasion.

The PTI leader also said that former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has directed to speed up the relief efforts, adding that a briefing was also given to him in this regard.

He said that Imran Khan will meet MPAs of six divisions. He also said that a meeting also took place for Ehsaas Programme. Earlier this week, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said he had urged ECP to “decide the case of foreign funding as soon as possible”.
