Islamabad police summoned former interior minister and Awami Muslim League founder Sheikh Rashid Ahmad today in an inquiry pertaining to his statement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police summoned Rashid at 4pm today in the Aabpara police station in connection with an inquiry related to his accusations against former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

However, in an indirect message, the former minister retracted from his accusations against Zardari. He is not cooperating with the police in the inquiry.

Police said that Rashid enunciated his accusatory remarks on the basis of PTI Chief Imran Khan’s allegations against Zardari.

The sleuths summoned the AML chief to come to the police station and explain himself.

Police warned if Rashid did not appear today, a legal action would be taken against him.
