LHC extends closing time for restaurants in combating smog case

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday extended the closing time for restaurants in the combating smog case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The LHC allowed the restaurants to stay open till 11pm throughout the week.

It also allowed the restaurants to carry out home delivery till 12:30am throughout the week.

It also directed the authorities concerned to identify the areas notorious for traffic jams and submit a report.

The court also directed the traffic police to form a helpline.

Justice Shahid Karim issued a written verdict on the hearing of Haroon Farooq case.

The court adjourned further hearing of the case till February 3, 2023.

The representatives of the Water and Environmental Commission will submit a report at the next hearing.
