Tragedy in Tandiawala invites public ire

A nine-year-old girl died from snakebite in a Punjab town, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Thursday.

The tragedy took place in Tandlianwala town where the village girl, Saira, came under snake attack when she was playing along the wall of her home.

Her father Murad Bhatti took her to a nearby hospital where he was told that the health facility ran short of vaccine.

He rushed her to the city area to get her vaccinated but Saira breather her last before reaching a hospital.

As soon as the sad story made headlines, local political figures and civil society activists raised the demand for providing the public health facilities with the supply of vaccine to avert such a eventually in future.

They expressed condolence over the death of child and prayed the Almighty may grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
