A Mexican girl Maria Fernando reached all the way to Pakistan to turn her social media friendship into a life partnership.

Maria Fernando embraced Islam and adopted the new of Maria Fatima. She married her social media friend Muhammad Naveed, a resident of Mouazam Abad in Sargodha.

The nikkah was solemnized at a local mosque during a simple but impressive ceremony. A large number of people from far and wide attended the ceremony. The villagers celebrated the marriage and expressed happiness on the occasion.

The couple had developed friendship some time ago on social media site Facebook and decided to become life partners after finding similarity and harmony in thoughts. Maria Fatima expressed her profound feelings about the new beginning in her life. She said that though she is away from her country, she really feels to be at home. “I am really happy with the love and affection I got here.”

Naveed belongs to a middle-class family and has failed to complete his intermediate education. He said he is committed to fulfilling responsibilities of the “new life.”
