Ogra raises LPG price by Rs27 per kg

The Oil and Gas and Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has announced a hefty rise of Rs27 in the per-kilogram price of LPG, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Ogra issued a notification fixing the new price of LPG for the month of March. As per the notification, the price of LPG has been hiked from Rs207 to Rs234 per kg.

According to the notification, with the increase in LPG price, the rate of a domestic cylinder has gone up by Rs319 and commercial cylinder by Rs1,226.

The new price of the domestic cylinder is now Rs2,759 and that of the commercial cylinder is Rs10,613.

In reaction, LPG Industries Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar said that the price of LPG had been increased by 160 percent in the last two years.
