A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight bound to leave Islamabad Airport for London on Friday morning failed to take off even after over six hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PIA administration though tried to calm the passengers with their one-after-another announcements about the departure of the flight, but the plane stayed at the ground.
Flight PK-9785 was due to depart the Islamabad International Airport at 9:00 am and travellers started to check in at 4:00 am but the plane could not take off at the scheduled time.
According to a passenger, first it was announced that the flight had been delayed and it will now leave Islamabad Airport at 12:00 noon. “Again it was delayed and we were conveyed that the plane will now leave at 2:00 pm. This also did not happen,” the passenger added.

The passengers after getting their boarding passes were now trapped and helpless in the departure lounge.
The passengers including women, children and old were now facing fatigue as the PIA administration did not even offer them water during the last six hours, the passenger said.
