The Lahore High Court (LHC) Saturday dismissed its two employees for falsifying files of fuel price adjustment cases of electricity bills, reported 24NewsHD TV channel

As per details, the Additional Registrar HR has issued a notification of dismissal to the employees and Chief Justice also ordered criminal action against the employees involved in corruption.

As per the notification, Writ Branch Senior Office Coordinator Shahid Hussain gave the file of fuel price adjustment case to a private person, meanwhile, office attendant Amjad Taj was also involved in giving the file of the case of Al Barka Industries vs Federal Government to a private person.

A private person named Akmal Masih took the case file out of the office and forged it, adding the names of 33 more petitioners in the case file.

It is important to mention here that there were only 3 applicants in the case of Al-Barka case earlier. The fuel price adjustment injunction was fabricated to give benefit to 33 bogus applicants.

Consequently, Senior Office Coordinator Shahid Hussain of High Court Writ Branch One and Office Attendant Amjad Taj were accused of misconduct, negligence, incompetence and corruption on September 7.

The notification further bears that Additional Registrar Asad Hafeez as inquiry officer recommended the dismissal of both the employees, he also recommended criminal action against private person Akmal Masih.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court was eye to eye with the recommendations of the inquiry officer and accepted evidence available against the employees as correct.

The LHC, after serving final show cause notice to both employees, dismissed them.
