Saira Banu s health deteriorates, shifted to ICU

Legendary Bollywood actress Saira Banu, who recently lost her husband, the one and only Dilip Kumar, is not keeping well.

The actress was hospitalised on August 29. She was then shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital on Wednesday (September 1).

The actress was complaining about blood pressure issues for the last three days until her health suddenly deteriorated.

Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu's husband, passed away on July 2, 2021. The actor passed away at the age of 89 due to age-related issues and health problems.

Saira Banu made her acting debut in the 1961 movie Junglee opposite the late actor.

"She is admitted to the hospital due to low BP. She was brought to the hospital three days ago. She is fine and much better now. There's nothing to worry about," a doctor said, adding that he had spoken to the actress on Tuesday.

He said the hospital is not a Covid facility. She had tested negative for COVID-19 but was isolated as a norm in the wake of the pandemic.

Saira Banu and went on to act in a range of films, is likely to be discharged in a day or two.
