He was singing Zaalima, which is Mahira Khan's song from the movie Raees, starring Shah Rukh Khan. In the video, Arijit said that he sang the song and did not realize that Mahira Khan was a part of the concert.

Following the viral video, Mahira has addressed the situation and showered accolades upon the Indian vocalist.

The Pakistani diva took to her social media platform reportedly and mentioned that she wasn't meant to be a part of the concert but it was a pleasure to watch Arijit Singh perform. She wrote that he is blessed from above.

 Her post allegedly read:

"I wasn't meant to be here for this.. but.. I guess I was. You know what I mean? What a pleasure it is to watch an artist perform.. whirling in joy, surrounded by love. But more than that, it's beautiful when you see humility in an artist.. because he knows, it isn't him.. he's just been blessed from up above. Stay blessed @arijitsingh Wah!"

This public acknowledgment serves as a testament to the bond and camaraderie that transcends borders, showcasing a heartwarming display of mutual admiration and professional courtesy in the realm of entertainment.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mahira Khan, one of the biggest names in the Pakistani film industry, made her Bollywood debut with Raees. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan was loved by all.

Unfortunately, her Bollywood career was abruptly halted due to the strained relations between India and Pakistan, leading to a ban on artists from across the border working in India. Despite this setback, Mahira Khan's association with Ranbir Kapoor sparked interest online, with their pictures circulating on social media. Throughout her career, she has consistently praised Shah Rukh Khan, a Bollywood icon, keeping her in the spotlight even when not actively working in India.
