Punjab govt decides to reverse 9pm market closure order

Providing a big relief to the trader community, the Punjab government has accepted their demand and decided to keep the markets open after 9pm, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The provincial government has decided to suspend the earlier order regarding closure of markets by 9pm. It has also decided to give permission to traders to keep their businesses open even on Sundays. 

Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has ordered for the abolition of 9pm market closure order. He gave the instructions in the presence of CM complain cell in-charge Nasir Salman at CM House.  

The chief minister directed the secretary industry to issue the notification regarding new timing as soon as possible. 

Now traders will be able to keep their business centres open till late at night.

The district administration and concerned institutions have also been informed in this regard.
