Kuwait felicitates Pakistan on signing Makkah Defence Accord

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah late Sunday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a Foreign Office statement released in Islamabad on Monday, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Jarrah felicitated the Deputy PM on the recent signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

The two leaders also exchanged views on the regional situation, including Occupied East Jerusalem.

They discussed Pakistan-Kuwait bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including follow-up to FM Jarrah’s recent visit to Pakistan and further enhancing cooperation and investment in key sectors.

The two sides agreed to remain closely engaged.

Dar talks to African leades

Ishaq Dar also shared the significance of Makkah Joint Defence Agreement with the President of Congo and former President of Guinea-Bissau.

During a telephonic conversation with President of Congo Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and former President of Guinea-Bissau, General Umaro Sissoco Embaló, Dar also shared importance of the agreement among Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia for strengthening strategic cooperation and contributing to regional peace, stability and security.

The Deputy Prime Minister and President of Congo also exchanged views on Pakistan-Congo relations and agreed on the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation, including through high-level exchanges.

The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to President Tshisekedi and the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
