During talks with ICC, only purpose was to get respect for Bangladesh: Naqvi

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said during India and Bangladesh controversy over T20 World Cup and ICC officials meeting, Pakistan was aimed at bringing due honor to Bangladesh as PCB had no personal motive in it, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Talking to media in Peshawar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Bangladesh was being mistreated but now ICC accepted the demands of Bangladesh Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board therefore Pakistan expressed readiness for playing with India. 

He said that during his recent engagements with International Cricket Council (ICC) officials, the only the purpose was to get respect for Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). 

Talking about domestic cricket, Naqvi said that 60 percent of the players in the Pakistan team were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, therefore it has been decided that there will be two teams in the Peshawar Region. 

PCB chairman admitted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a lot of talent and KP was doing a lot for domestic cricket. Naqvi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will promote regional sports talent. He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were going to get good news regarding cricket. 

Naqvi said that the Apex Committee meeting discussed the prevention of terrorism. He said CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa played an important role in the investigation of the Islamabad blast.
