‘Lion’s share of Murree funds remain unutilized’, report reveals 

The majority of the funds set aside in the ongoing fiscal year for tourist hilltop Murree’s roads maintenance and repair were not released by the Punjab government, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.

Out of Rs346.8 million for roads in Murree, Only Rs176.8 million were allocated for first six months.

According to documents, only Rs96 million was spent on roads in Murree to facilitate the movement of people while rest of the funds were remained utilized. 

The initial report submitted to the Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on the Murree tragedy also informed that there was no maintenance of roads.
