Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has said that he does not mind the harsh talk of PML-Q leader and Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi, reported 24NewsHD TV.

Hamza was talking to media after his visit to the SOS Village in Lahore on Sunday where he spent some time with children on the occasion of Eidul Azha. He said he was serving people sincerely.

Talking about his rival in Punjab, PA Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi who is an ally of opposition PTI, Hamza said that he did not mind Elahi’s invectives. “But I really want to know why did Elahi violate the constitution,” the CM wondered.

On this occasion, he lashed out at former prime minister Imran Khan saying that the latter had sown the seeds of hatred among nation. He said people knew full well what kind of person Imran was. He said everyone knew who stopped free electricity to poor people consuming less than 100 units a month. “We are sincerely serving people,” he added.

The chief minister said that people would decide about the fate of Punjab on July 17 as they had always rejected the negative politics.

Hamza was of the view that at the time when Imran’s government was about to topple, he deceived the poor as on the one hand, he was reducing the POL prices and on the other, he was assuring the IMF that his government would increase the price of petroleum products.

He said that when he promised to provide free electricity to lifeline consumers, Imran approached the Election Commission of Pakistan against his decision.

The chief minister opined that this was not the time to do politics, rather it’s time to save the economy. He said the coalition government of PML-N took difficult decisions to save the state. “We all have to make joint efforts to steer our country out of crises,” he emphasized.

PM to reduce petrol prices soon

Separately, while talking to PML-N workers at Raiwind, Chief Minister Hamza proclaimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would soon give good news regarding reduced petrol prices to the nation soon.

He said the PML-N had put the country on right direction in 2018 but during last four years, the previous government had destroyed economy.

Hamza stated that despite recurrent constitutional crises in Punjab, his government provided Rs200 billion subsidy on flour.

He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz would announce to lower the petrol price in coming days as its prices were falling in the international market.

Spewing his anger on Imran, he said ‘Fitna Khan’ did not believe in constitution that’s why he along with his followers had created a drama in Punjab.
