MQM-Pakistan leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that the meetings with Dr Farooq Sattar were not secret and it’s up to Doctor Sahab when he would like to join the Muttahidda’s ranks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to newsmen after offering Eid prayers at Madni Masjid in Azizbad area of Karachi on Saturday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui maintained “Doctor Sahab would have to decide himself when and how to return to the party.”

Earlier there were reports that former MQM leader Farooq Sattar is likely to return to the fold of the party after matters have been sorted out with Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

A meeting reportedly took place between Farooq Sattar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui which was also attended by Mooed Anwar and Furqan Attayab from MQM-P side and Kamran Farooqui, Faisal Rafiq and Nighat Shakil represented Sattar group.

Responding to a question about the impact of rains on the daily life of Karachiities in his media talk, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui declared the response of the city administration as “much better”.

This time the arrangements to tackle the rains were quite effective but there was still room to improve them as there were prediction of more downpours in the city in the days to come.

He also stressed the need to make the megacity more green.
