Sonya Hussyn and Yasir Hussain want to perform Humaira Asghar’s last rites
Popular Pakistani actors Sonya Hussain, Yasir Hussain, and Yashma Gill have expressed their desire to perform the last rites of fellow actress Humaira Ali Asghar, whose family has refused to claim her body.
In case the readers are not aware, actress Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence area. Her body was discovered in an ‘advanced decomposed state.’
Initial reports suggested that the body was likely nine months old.
Humaira Ali Asghar’s father has refused to accept her body after the completion of the postmortem.
“We have cut off ties with her long ago. Do whatever you want with her body. We will not receive it,” the father said to the police.
Lately, there were updates that the family has contacted to police to claim the body of Humaira Asghar, but further details about the same are not disclosed yet.
Moving on in the latest round of events, actress Sonya Hussyn has shared a video on her Instagram handle in which she expressed dismay over the shocking death of Humaira Asghar. She also questioned her family for their heartless decision of not accepting her remains.
Sonya Hussyn requested the authorities to allow her to pay the last rites of the fellow actress if nobody from her family comes forward within a day.
Actor Yasir Hussyn supported Sonya Hussyn’s decision and also stepped in to pay last respects to the late actress. “ The Industry for which the late actress’s family abandoned her is there for her,” the male actor stated in his Instagram upload.
Actress Yashma Gill was also spotted in the same row.
