CM Maryam announces more electric buses for Khanewal district
The members of the provincial assembly from Khanewal district called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to discuss the issues and challenges of the people of their constituencies, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
MPAs Aamir Hayat Hiraj, Ch Zia-ur-Rehman, Rana Saleem, Akbar Hayat Hiraj, Rana Babar Hussain Abid, Osama Fazal and Asghar Hayat Hiraj attended the meeting.
On the request of the lawmaker, the chief minister announced that the electric bus service would be expanded to other areas of Khanewal district, including Talamba and Mian Channu.
The chief minister said electric buses were the right of the people and not a favour from anyone.
She added that the Punjab government was bringing 1,500 electric buses for people across the province and described the project as the beginning of a modern public transport system.
The members of provincial assembly appreciated the chief minister's development initiatives, including the construction of the Multan-Vehari Road and the launch of the electric bus service in Khanewal, Kabirwala and Jahanian.
