PPP chairman endorses WHO suggestions
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has welcomed the suggestions made by WHO stating that the world body’s concerns are justified and they would raise the points for formulating national policy.
According to a tweet, Bilawal said that unfortunately no national strategy was adopted on the issue of coronavirus. The Sindh government should consider the letter of the World Health Organization and will raise those points to the national level.
Moreover, Bilawal Bhutto also said that Sindh has always insisted on formulating national policy according to facts and capabilities.
WHO letter to Sindh government raises valid concerns & suggestions. Will be discussed by Sindh govt before being taken up at national level. We’ve long called for national policy to be linked to facts & our own capacity. Unfortunately so far this hasn’t been national approach.

Earlier in a letter to the Punjab health minister, the WHO stated that the virus has spread all over the country and a large number of cases are being recorded in big cities. The cases had increased sharply after the easing of lockdown and Pakistan now ranks among top 10 most-affected countries.
The letter warned that recent statistics suggest its current strategy was not paying off and recommended the government adopt a 2-week lockdown.
