Cabinet okays 15% raise in salaries, 5% in pensions

The federal cabinet has approved 15 percent raise in the salaries of the government employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The decision was made in the meeting of the federal cabinet which was held in Islamabad on Friday under the chair of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The cabinet also okayed five percent increase in pensions.

The meeting of the cabinet held hours before the presentation of the federal budget 2022-2023 in the National Assembly.

The Prime Minister has rejected the Finance Ministry’s proposal of a 10% increase and has approved an increase in government employees’ salaries of 15% with the consent of the cabinet. Alsomerging of adhoc allowances into the basic pay is approved #Budget_for_economic_stability
