Sindh govt approves recruitment of 126 veterinary research officers via SPSC

The Sindh government has announced a major recruitment drive in the Livestock and Fisheries Department, approving the hiring of 126 Veterinary Research Officers in Grade 17. The appointments will be made through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), which has officially released details of the vacant posts.

Out of the total 126 positions, 60 will be filled under the rural quota and another 60 under the urban quota, ensuring fair representation across the province. Additionally, 95 positions will be filled on open merit, offering equal opportunity to candidates regardless of location. The government has also allocated specific quotas for marginalized groups, including 6 seats for special persons, 19 for women, and 6 for minorities.

This recruitment initiative is aimed at strengthening veterinary services across Sindh, particularly in under-served rural areas where livestock is a critical component of the local economy. The move is expected to improve research capacity, disease control, and livestock health management in the province. The SPSC will oversee the examination and selection process, with further details available on its official platform.
