Armed men set six gas tankers on fire in Noshki
Unidentified armed men set six gas tankers on fire in the Jungle Cross area of Noshki district on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to the vehicles, according to administration sources.
Officials said the attack occurred when the tankers were travelling towards Taftan, the border town adjoining Iran.
According to administration sources, the tankers were empty at the time of the incident and were heading to Taftan to load gas.
The attackers allegedly set all six vehicles ablaze before fleeing the area. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Sources said the engines of the tankers suffered severe damage as there were no adequate firefighting arrangements available at the scene to immediately contain the blaze.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack and are gathering information about the assailants and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
