Meeting with Pang Chunxue; Sanaullah ensures Chinese national s safety

China's Acting Ambassador Pang Chunxue Tuesday called on Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talks were held on Pakistan-China relations and other issues of mutual interest.

The two discussed steps are taken to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan and to improve relations.

Pang Chunxue extended congratulations to Rana Sanaullah on assuming the post of Minister of Interior.

Pakistan and China agree to further enhance bilateral relations and provide visa facilitation for Chinese nationals.

The Ministry of Interior reached an agreement with the Chinese Embassy to enhance the security of Chinese citizens.

Minister of Interior Rana Sanaullah has expressed sorrow over the deaths of Chinese nationals at the Karachi University’s terror attack.

Rana Sanaullah went on to say Pakistan and China have enjoyed very close relationships, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif considers China to be Pakistan's best and most trusted friend.

"Our coalition government led by PM Shehbaz Sharif will take Pak-China relations to new heights", said Rana Sanaullah.

Rana Sanaullah said: "We will not allow any internal or external conspiracy to spoil Pak-China friendship to succeed".

Minister of Interior said will definitely punish those involved in the terrorist incident at Karachi University.

Rana Sanaullah said the state is using all its resources to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, adding that foreign national security desk has been set up in the interior ministry. 

The purpose of setting up the desk is to ensure effective coordination to ensure the safety of foreigners in Pakistan, especially Chinese nationals, said Rana Sanaullah.

Rana Sanaullah said that strong security arrangements have been made for Chinese residents working on CPEC projects.

The Minister of Interior said the incidents like terrorism should not happen, adding that for them, coordination between the federal and the states is being made effective.

Pang Chunxue said China wants the Pakistani authorities to fully investigate the terrorist incident in Karachi University and book the real culprits as soon as possible. 

Pang Chunxue said the friendship between Pakistan and China is everlasting, adding the process of China's assistance in Pakistan's development will continue.

Pang Chunxue said the CPEC project is symbolic of friendship and good relations between Pakistan and China.
