Watch: Pakistan strikes Indian targets with Fateh-1 missile; ISPR releases launch videos

Amid heightened regional tensions, Pakistan has struck Indian targets using its precision-guided Fateh-1 missile, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

A video of the missile launch targeting Indian positions has been officially released, showcasing the system’s accuracy and operational readiness.

The Fateh-1, a surface-to-surface Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) with a range of 70 to 140 kilometers, is designed for precision strikes, capable of hitting up to eight targets simultaneously within an 8x8 sq. km grid. With a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of less than 50 meters, it offers exceptional accuracy and is equipped with an advanced Integrated Fire Control System for seamless coordination between launcher and target.

According to military sources, the missile used in the strike was part of a training operation under “Exercise INDUS,” conducted to validate technical capabilities and ensure troop readiness in combat scenarios. The launch was witnessed by senior military officials, scientists, and engineers from Pakistan's strategic organisations.

The missile’s modular compatibility with a wide range of ammunition makes it suitable for varied tactical operations—from conventional warfare to counter-terrorism missions.

This is not the first time Pakistan has showcased the Fateh-1's capabilities. The system’s first flight test was conducted in January 2021, and it has since become a critical component of Pakistan's precision strike arsenal.

The latest launch serves as a clear signal of Pakistan's strategic response capabilities, coming just days after India's missile attacks on Pakistani airbases and subsequent regional escalation. The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s preparedness to defend its sovereignty and respond decisively to any aggression.
