Bridal party bus accident in Shikarpur leaves 4 dead; groom and bride injured

At least four people were killed and more than 25 others injured, including the bride and groom, when a bus carrying wedding guests plunged into a ravine in Shikarpur, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the local police, the accident occurred when a bus carrying a wedding party was travelling from Aosta Muhammad in Balochistan towards interior Sindh's area, Mirpur Barro.

Police confirmed that four people, including a child, died in the accident, while the bride and groom were among those injured along with more than 25 other passengers.

Rescue teams immediately launched an operation at the scene and shifted the deceased and injured to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Police said the rescue operation was still ongoing and warned that the death toll could rise as efforts continued to retrieve passengers from the wreckage.
