Woman shot dead by ex-husband in Lahore

A 45-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by her former husband and his accomplices in Lahore’s Sundar area, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to police officials, the suspect, identified as Arshad, opened fire along with three unidentified accomplices, killing Kulsoom Bibi at the scene.

Investigators said the suspect had divorced the victim around eight months ago but was now attempting to take her with him again.

Police stated that the incident occurred after the woman refused to accompany him, leading to a violent confrontation during which the suspects allegedly opened fire.

The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting, while police launched a search operation to trace and arrest the suspects.
