Imran Khan’s Rs80 million assets include four goats

PM has no business or vehicle: Bilawal is richer than his father

PTI member Noor Alam Khan continues to be the richest National Assembly member while Maulvi Asmatullah of MMA, who was elected from Quetta, is the poorest with assets worth Rs1.1 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Noor Alam has assets worth over Rs3.20 billion. He is followed by Federal Minister Umer Ayub Khan with more than Rs1.21 billion but has to pay Rs20 million in loan, shows the figures released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the year 2019-20.

But the most important thing is the fact that Prime Minister Imran – whose total assets value currently stands at over Rs80 million – neither has any business inside and outside the country nor any vehicle. However, he is the owner of four goats worth Rs0.2 million.

Other assets of the prime minister include four foreign currency accounts carrying $331,230 as well as 518 pounds sterling and Rs19.9 million in cash. Meanwhile, he has obtained an amount of over Rs70 million for 80 kanals of land located in Ferozewala.

On the other hand, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak owns assets worth Rs150 million but his mother-in-law has extended a loan of Rs25 million to him.

Meanwhile, the total worth of assets owned by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser is over Rs80 million; however, he has to pay pack an amount of around Rs12.6 million in loan.

As far as former president Asif Ali Zardari is concerned, he showed assets worth Rs676.8 million which include properties in Nawabshah, arms, horses and other pet animals.

However, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is richer than his father with a value of more than Rs1.58 billion. Apart from a home in Islamabad, gifts, saving certificates and agriculture land, he also has shares in different Dubai-based companies and eight bank accounts.

Details of some other important opposition leaders are: Khawaja Saad Rafique Rs120 million, Ayaz Sadiq and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi over Rs60 million, Marriyum Aurangzeb over Rs30 million, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Rs20 million and Akhtar Mengal a few millions.

Coming back to the federal cabinet members, Faisal Vawda owns assets worth Rs630 million including Rs510 million in foreign countries, 40 tolas of gold and a vehicle worth over Rs10 million.

The figures for some other important names are given as: Shah Mehmood Qureshi Rs240 million, Shafqat Mehmood Rs150 million, Hammad Azhar Rs360 million and his wife Rs280 million, Asad Umar Rs660 million, Ghulam Sarwar Khan Rs50 million and Fawad Chaudhry Rs110 million.

Meanwhile, the value of assets owned by Murad Saeed shown as Rs3.1 million. He also has a car and 15 tolas of gold but their worth has been not explained.
