Although the song’s teaser was loved by fans exceedingly that was released on the wedding occasion of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, but the full song stirred controversy upon its release. 

It draws flak from the social media brigade for its English inclusion of the word ‘love storiyan’.

Netizens also criticized the song for being a copy of an old hit song ‘Laree Chootee, sung by a Pakistani ‘Call band’ that was the instant hit back then.
