The woman, a resident of Gulshan Hayat Park in Ferozwala near Lahore, convinced by an exorcist that she was possessed by demons and the only way to get rid of them was to sacrifice her children.

The woman, named Najma, hanged her two sons and a daughter on Sunday on the exorcist’s instigation.

The children included 12-year-old Bilal, eight-year-old Talha and five-year-old daughter.

The neighbours while recording their accounts said they did hear the screams of the children but by the time they entered into the house all children had died. They regretted their late action.

According to the woman, the exorcist had assured her that she will remain alive if she sacrifices her children to please demons.
