Two patients die, injuries of 12 others multiplied after roof collapse at Gujrat hospital

Two patients died while injuries of 12 others multiplied after roof of surgical ward caved in at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in Gujrat on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Azmat Bibi and a child.

Several patients got buried underneath the rubble when the roof of the surgical collapsed. Rescuers pulled the patients out and shifted them to the ground of the hospital.

Patients as well as their attendants blamed negligence on the part of the hospital’s administration for the incident.  

Media personnel managed to get hold of a footage in which people could be seen screaming and crying for help after the roof collapse.
