Maryam Nawaz launches Electric Bus Service in Multan

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Green Electric Bus service in Multan, arriving at the ceremony on an electric bus herself, reported 24NewsHD TV.

Maryam Nawaz said the service, launched with 60 buses, would be free for students, women, elderly people and persons with disabilities, with electric buses also operating across Punjab without discrimination. She added that electric buses were operating up to Bariyan in Murree.

Maryam Nawaz said a high-tech cancer hospital had been inaugurated in Multan, offering free treatment, while a modern machine capable of treating cancer without surgery within minutes had also been provided.

Speaking about law and order, she said she had taken action against gangsters despite threats of legal cases and would continue doing whatever was necessary for the people of Punjab.

The CM made sure people’s lives, property, businesses and families were now safe in Punjab.

The chief minister also criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government over recent political activities, saying some people had come to Punjab to launch an attack and the visit to Lahore had failed.

Responding to criticism over her use of the Punjab chief minister’s jet, Maryam Nawaz said the Rs9 billion aircraft did not belong to her personally and was an official government asset. She questioned whether she should have travelled to Multan by rickshaw instead.

She said no chief minister’s visit was personal and that she would respond to criticism from YouTubers and vloggers through her performance.
