The Supreme Court has returned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf petition seeking formation of a full-court bench for the hearing of presidential reference that has sought the interpretation of Article 63-A of the Constitution, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The SC registrar returned the petition after raising objection over it.
Earlier, the petition was submitted by PTI leader Babar Awan to the apex court on Monday.
The petition came after the historic ruling of the Supreme Court which declared National Assembly Deputy Speaker’s ruling that blocked voting on opposition’s no-confidence motion unconstitutional thus paving way for the dislodging of Imran Khan’s government which had lost its majority in the parliament.
The petition says that there are important legal questions in the presidential reference that requires formation of full court bench.
Mr Awan further said that the PTI would file a review petition after the release of a detailed written verdict of the Supreme Court on NA deputy speaker’s no-confidence motion’s dismissal ruling.
